The due date for the birth of the century is coming up for Prince William and Kate Middleton’s child. The world along with us at Oh So Classy Events simply cannot not wait to welcome the royal child into the world! We can’t wait to find out the sex of the baby, the guessing continues! So we thought it would be fun to plan (theorically) the baby shower and give some ideas to other mommies out there awaiting their little princes and princesses!
Now, since the gender of the baby is a secret we decided to go with a classic lavender color to get a royal feel without pushing one gender. It is beautiful at anytime of the year and is very versatile. To accompany it with have paired it with gold. Gold is super royal and elegant and we thought it would go perfectly together!
For the invitations The Hostess with the Mostess has the most adorable printable invitations! We love these royal invitations, and they are easy to put together. All you have to do is order up and the company sends you your custom invitation through email! Just print it out on paper of your choosing. We would of course change the colors of this invitation to match our lavender/gold theme 🙂
For centerpieces I found this beautiful gold bird cage on Baby Lifestyles. It is so perfect since it is elegant yet not overwhelming on the tables. Here we have simple lavender hydrangea and baby roses to go inside the birdcage!
We love the tablescape pictured below for this royal baby shower! The white tablecloth is wonderful since it brings brightness to the table, is simple and not overwhelming. The gray flower bowl is beautiful! And then to top it off with the wood plates, with gold ingrained in the wood for an accent. This has been in stores lately in everything from phone cases to belts and it looks amazing! I would also include gold chairs to complete the look of the table and gold colored silverware.
Now it it time to talk about our favorite part, the food! There are so many cute things that can be done with the food for this baby shower. I found so many cute treats to have, and they look delicious. I also found great looking parfaits for those who are looking to eat on the lighter side. 🙂
And this concludes our royal baby shower post! We can’t wait for when the Duchess of Cambridge gives birth to the next member of the royal family, and we hope you can grab some ideas if you’re planning your own royal baby shower! ❤
